In this tutorial we'll draw a folder. A very use full tutorial for people who wants to create their own icons. Start by selecting rounded rectangle shape tool (U). |

From options bar at the top change radius to 5 pixels. |

| Drag the tool on canvas to create a rounded rectangle with specified radius. |

With rounded rectangle tool selected, enable at to shape area from the top bar. Drag a small rectangle on top left of the previous rectangle. |

| Select direct selection tool. Select the node shown below. |

| Now either drag the node towards right using mouse or using right arrow key. |

Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply settings as shown. |

| Click on the gradient picker. It will open gradient editor from where in you can choose a default gradient or create your own. Create a gradient as shown below. |

Though the gradient looking nice, we would like to add a think stroke to this shape so that it stand out even on a lighter background. Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply settings as shown. |

| Again select rounded rectangle tool. Drag to create a rounded rectangle big enough to cover the shape we have created in previous steps. |

| Press Crt+T to get the transform the handles. |

| Right click and select perspective.Drag the notes at the bottom towards inside. |

| In gradient editor, for style we'll choose reflected instead of default linear. |

| Using pen tool create a shape as shown below.Fill it with a dark shade of blue. |

| From layer palette reduce the opacity to 30%. |

| Select line shape tool and drag a horizontal line as shown below. Make sure Shift key is pressed while creating the line so that it's drawn straight. |

Press Ctrl+J to duplicate the line layer. Press up arrow key twice 2 pixel up words. Repeat the step to create one more line. Below is the output. |
